Motive

Motive allows us to track our trucks and trailers all on the same site. We use the ELD’s for our drivers and can coach them on the spot. Our drivers can keep their logs up-to-date easily with electronic logs. The cameras allow us to view any events that could have resulted in a wreck or see the footage leading up to a wreck. There is also a load board that we use on occasion.

We use the Eld in our trucking business on a daily basis. It keeps track of the location of each driver and their scheduled time of duty and off thing. I really appreciate the help we get when we call the technical department. They are very helpful and patient with us helping solve all of our problems and getting back up and running quickly. I recommend Motive (previously KeepTruckin) to call my friends who I find out that are starting out in the trucking business.

I had a multiple options for ELD to pick from. Motive were most clearly priced and cooperative with fitting the product close to our needs. Their service and products are easily scaled up and grow along with our company growth. The greatest thing about Motive is that I don't get any unsolicited phone calls from their affiliates. The company has one sales rep assigned to the account and, in my case, our account manager knows what we need and how to get it done. I would refer my friends to Motive in heart bit.

I currently use the ELD & Dashcam. I also just signed up for the Motive credit card for fuel.

We are a permitting company, we are a one stop shop for truckers. When they come to us for services one of the services we offer them in tracking and elog service. We do everything from getting their llc or inc, permits, tags, and fuel tax service. A big part of doing the fuel taxes is getting miles from the trucks. We use Motive and we are able pull miles with out depending on the customers to do anything. We currently have over 300 devices on our customers trucks. Having a dependable tracker and elog on the trucks keeps them legal and allows us to be able to get info from the trucks without having the customer do anything.

Utilized the ELD and camera devices. The dashboard is probably the only win out of the whole solution I feel. It is concise and easy to navigate. But unfortunately that is where it stops. The ELD uses bot WIFI and Bluetooth connections and this was where the problems arose from. It became unusable once you lost conductivity to either one of those. From my experience the data caps are also an issue as they state that it is a secure connection but we kept losing data and were always bumping up against our data limits on every device, which then would lock out the driver from logging in and created another issue with compliance. Overall we found that we spent way too much time and effort managing a platform that should have been seamless, but in the end had to switch out to another platform as the program was causing to much time on the phone with a support team that in my view spun you around in circles at time with no answer or outcome. Cameras were not worth the effort at the time as again you spend countless time timing to nail down a time frame of an incident, and then only can download 1 minute segments and if you try this to many times it will time you out and you have to come back later. In my opinion, honestly Not worth the time and effort to manage all the issues.

We use the Mandated ELD's in our Semi Trucks. We use the ELD's on a daily basis. (Other companies do not charge for the hardware that we had to pay for.) We use the Distance report to file IFTA. We only need the basic service but are forced to use the next level costing about $900.00 more per year just to get the 1 report we require.

We recently made the switch from another ELD service provider to Motive before our five-year contract ended. This is the fourth provider we've used over the last 10+ years and by far the one we are the most excited about. Motive by far surpasses the performance of anything we have experienced both from the perspective of features and benefits and from the perspective of system reliability. The system was easy to install in our trucks and the ELD component from the driver's perspective was easy to learn our drivers started using it after a couple of hours of training and practice. All of the features most important to our drivers are user-friendly including completing DOT approved edits to logs without management assistance. It is the safety and compliance features that we have benefitted and improved our business the most. Together with forward-facing dash cameras and speed alerts based on real-time roads being traveled on speed limits, we have increased our safety and compliance on the road. By reducing our speeds, we have realized a significant increase in fuel economy which has been especially important during volatile fuel prices. With a very sophisticated safety scoring system, we have been able to provide appreciation to our best drivers and encourage some drivers to improve their skills in a positive environment. Integration with our dispatch software is also important to us, and, again, Motive is unparalleled in the smoothness of the day-to-day operations with regards to information exchange between our office and drivers. The highlight of this integration is by using GPS technology, arrival and departure times at Shippers and Receivers are automatically updated into our Dispatch software with no user input at either end. The options for document transfer and handling have also contributed to our timeliness of invoicing and increased inefficiencies at the office.

We utilize Motive to manage our ELD log requirements. We use it to monitor and track equipment inspections, driver locations via the mapping service, and all HOS logging for compliance. We also utilize it to monitor and enhance driver safety. In addition, it allows us to easily compile mileage distances for each driver and truck to use for tax purposes.

We currently use Motive across the entire organization for ELD compliance and asset tracking. We plan to continue using Motive across our entire fleet and feel that it is a service provider with products we can count on to grow with us as we expand. It is my experience that the Motive ELD system is best and easiest ELD system on the market. It solves the problem of having a dependable and reliable system. We count on Motive support that is available to us and our drivers 24/7/365. I especially love that when we call for support they know who we are and they are always able to resolve any issue we or our drivers are having with the ELD system 100% of the time. The service support team are always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly 100% of the time. I feel like they are part of our team and not just an outside/external service solution provider.

We use Motive as ELD provider in our fleet. The problem we had in the past is the sales department, we were not able to purchase more devices due to disorganized sales with Motive CSR.

Motive is only being used within our Trucking department for Sales and Service.
